EMR Winter Class

Ever think you could make a difference?

YOU CAN!

Heritage Village Ambulance Association in conjunction with Southbury Ambulance Association, Inc. is excited to sponsor a winter Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) class. The course will be starting on December 07, 2010, and run through February 09, 2011.  The class will be held in Southbury, meeting Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Students will have classroom instruction, guest presentations, demonstrations, including hands on practical experience.  This rigorous and challenging program will prepare students completing the course to take the State of Connecticut examination for the EMR certification. Students that receive the state certification will be able to give pre-hospital care to patients and may work on an ambulance or as a first responder.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and become a volunteer in your community. This is also an interesting activity for parents and students to do together. All students under 18 years of age must have parental consent.

Class size is limited.  You must call (203) 518-0315 to pre-register.
